Storage Management
The fleet-wide picture of managed storage and its lifecycle.
The Storage page is the fleet-wide inventory of every managed service folder: which service it belongs to, which node holds it, and how much it uses. It answers the questions that per-service panels cannot: what is storing data, where, and is it still needed?
Trace before you delete#
Each entry traces back to its service and volume path. Before you delete or retain anything, inspect a folder's contents right from the inventory — the same file listing you get in the container workbench, without a terminal.
Retention and deletion#
The inventory exposes retention and deletion flows for managed storage:
- deleting a service's data is a deliberate action with typed confirmation — it also deletes the service folder,
- pruning and cleanup operations (Settings → System → Cleanup) remove unused Docker resources and expired images across nodes, but never touch managed bind mounts.
State, not evidence#
A volume folder might outlive its service for audit reasons — snapshots and restores are handled by the backup system, not by keeping live storage around. If a folder is only being kept "in case," move it to an actual backup and retire it here.
